Public flock to Common Green launch at eco-event

We were thrilled to welcome so many local residents—and even a few visitors from further afield—to our Eco Fair and launch event on Saturday 27th.

Sustainability was truly at the heart of the day, and the atmosphere was buzzing with energy and enthusiasm. Highlights included:

  • Incredible eco-themed artwork by local schoolchildren, who designed their own “Eco Superheros.”

  • Our popular Pledge Wall, where visitors could enjoy free cake in exchange for making a sustainability pledge—whether trying something new or continuing a green habit to help protect our planet.

  • An informative talk on air source heat pumps by Essex Eco.

We were proud to host representatives from:

  • The Clean Leaf Company

  • The Conservation Volunteers

  • Essex Wildlife Trust

  • Solar energy experts

  • Love Essex (Chelmsford)

  • Essex Eco

  • Stellantis & You, showcasing the latest electric vehicles

Young and old alike got involved in activities designed to boost recycling knowledge, and the local Cubs impressed with their posters on the pros and cons of different energy sources.

All in all, it was a fantastic, well-attended event that helped raise awareness of our new brand, our renewed mission, and our commitment to engaging the community in sustainable energy projects.

If you weren’t able to join us this time, we hope to see you at next year’s event—which we’re already planning to be even bigger and better!

We’ll continue to keep you updated on Common Green’s progress—including exciting developments like bringing electric vehicle (EV) chargers to Danbury soon. Keep an eye out for updates from our Common Green email address.

We’d love to hear from you! Feel free to email us at info@commongreen.org.uk with any ideas or suggestions.
